Some clients call us because the wood is damaged by sun, salt and humidity. Others have just bought a house and are renovating it, or are simply tired of old dark-brown varnish and want a lighter, more natural look.
Either way, Mauro strips each piece back to sound, bare wood and protects it so it lasts. We work on site with professional equipment and protect the rest of your home while we work.
Ceiling beams — dark or tinted varnish removed, back to natural wood.
Pergolas and railings — greyed, weathered timber restored outdoors.
Doors, windows and shutters.
Tables and furniture, indoor and outdoor.
Restaurants and businesses — planned around your opening hours.
Our process
Four steps, done properly
01
Assessment
We visit, check the condition of the wood and agree the finish you want.
02
Stripping
Old varnish and paint are removed mechanically, down to bare wood.
03
Sanding & repairs
Fine sanding, joints and corners by hand, small repairs where needed.
04
Protection
Two coats of matt finish with UV filter, then a full clean-up.
Calpe
A fan-shaped beam ceiling, back to natural wood
Twelve beams fanning out across a rounded room, covered in a dark tinted varnish. We stripped them back to the wood, worked every joint and corner by hand, and finished them with two coats of matt protection with UV filter. The room has since been opened up to the kitchen — and the light, natural beams now set the tone for the whole space.

Jávea
Beams with a view
Porch beams at a villa in Jávea, restored on site and finished to resist the sun and the sea air. Natural wood, framed by the Mediterranean.
Also in Jávea: timber pergolas and railings at a villa overlooking the sea, greyed by years of sun and restored for the next summers.
Windows and shutters
A deteriorated window, made new
A wooden window and its shutters, badly weathered by the sun. Mauro repaired, stripped and protected every slat, leaving it as good as new.
Case study · Jávea
Atalaya restaurant
Iroko pergolas, sofas, planters, tables and interior furniture at one of Jávea’s best-known seafront restaurants, stripped back to bare wood and protected for daily use.
On the coast, even well-protected wood slowly loses its finish. With our care plan we come back regularly to inspect it, clean it and apply a fresh maintenance coat before the damage starts — a fraction of the cost of a new restoration.
